About Coach: Dawn Breckons grew up in Livonia, NY and played volleyball, basketball and softball throughout high school. She played varsity volleyball for all 4 years of high school.  She earned the following awards in her high school career: New York State Section V Class B All Star 1991, New York State Section V Class B Senior All Star team 1993, New York State Section V Class B MVP 1993.  Following HS graduation in 1994, she attended Daemen College near Buffalo, NY to study Physical Therapy.  As a junior in college, she worked to assist Daemen College (now Daemen University) in starting their first Women’s Collegiate Volleyball Team.  She played and was co-captain of the first women’s volleyball team as a senior at Daemen College in 1997.  Dawn graduated as a Physical Therapist in 1998 and has worked with kids as a pediatric Physical Therapist for over 27 years.

Why Do I Coach?  While this will only be Coach Dawn’s 3rd year of coaching at the club level, she hopes her experience with kids and her love of volleyball will have a positive impact on the girls she coaches.  She feels promoting the positive mental health of athletes is a top priority!
