About Coach: Coach Brittany is an alumni of Smithfield High and Mary Baldwin University. She graduated with a degree in Health Sciences and a minor in psychology and leadership studies. She has 8 years volleyball experience at the school, club and collegiate levels where she was awarded Most Valuable Player and Athlete of the Year at MBU. Following college, she served as the 15s head coach for ActSports in Staunton for two years. In Brittany’s spare time, you can find her playing and hyping her friends up at open gyms or pestering her sweet fur baby, Koa.
Why Do I Coach? Volleyball has always been an outlet for me to express myself and forget about any frustrations off the court. There are so many opportunities, memories and lifelong friends to be gained yet also some hard learned lessons that made me into the person I am today. I coach because I hope to be able to be a positive part of my players’ journey the way volleyball guided mine.
