Hometown: Rothsay, MN- but our military family has called Germany, Utah, Alaska and now Virginia all home!

About Coach: Coach Jessie is a new addition to the VA Wave club, bringing in over 20 years of volleyball experience. She started playing volleyball in the 7th grade and had a successful high school volleyball career. Coach Jessie was an All-Conference athlete for three of her four years on Varsity, earning the All-Conference MVP title in her senior year and leading her team to a conference championship. She continues to play in competitive co-ed and women’s adult leagues. Previously, she served as the assistant volleyball coach at Tabb Middle School for the 2023 season and will take on the Head Coach role at TMS this 2024 season. Off the court, you can find Jessie spending time with her husband and four children.

Why Do I Coach? My passion for volleyball, whether playing or coaching, brings me so much joy and positively impacts my mental health. It is truly my happy place. I also believe that young athletes are at such an impressionable age, and the influence of a coach can significantly shape their athletic spirit. I love the opportunity to inspire and guide these athletes, watching them learn, grow and develop a love for the game just as I have.
